When you add a new client or collaborator to one of your projects in HitSend you can set up automations that will trigger through Zapier and help automate boring administration tasks.
This makes it easy to add the people you’re working with to email lists, CRM’s, send them documentation, or give them a shoutout on social media.
NOTE:
In order to ensure the automation works make sure you have the “Project Member Added” integration turned on in your project settings. If you’re not sure how to do this, you can learn here.
Once your trigger is set up there are several different items that can be passed from HitSend to your integration and used accordingly depending on what kind of automation you’re looking to build.
Project Name
First Name
Last Name
Email (if supplied)
Role
Date
You can pass any of this information to other applications for additional actions or for your personal records.
Triggering the Zap
The zap will activate whenever you add a client or collaborator in the project via the add collaborator icon in the project screen. Once you enter in the collaborator’s information and choose their role, as soon as you click “Add” the zap will fire, not when someone accepts the invite.
NOTE:
If you do not enter an email address that field will come through as blank in a Zap
Now that you know how to set up your Zap the question is what to do with this new power? If you’re not sure where to start here are some ideas on how you can use the New Project Member Integration
