There are 2 different types of audio players built into HitSend. Both types can still provide Flawless uncompressed audio playback meaning you can upload full WAV. files and unlike popular file sharing services like Dropbox and Google Drive, your clients will hear the full audio quality.

Each player is designed for different uses though, as the Regular Hi-Fidelity Player is built for most uses, while the Gapless Player is designed to replace traditional DDP players.

You can select which player is used on a project by project basis when Creating a Project or by going into the Project Settings. and making sure the player of your choice has the green background to indicate it is selected.

Regular Player

The Regular Player works best for production and mixing as it is designed for version stacking and easily A/Bing tracks.

The player loads each track individually which makes for faster initial load times, but there can still be short buffer times between each track.

Gapless Player

The Gapless Player is designed specifically for Mastering Engineers as it replaces traditional DDP players with a web based version that still displays relevant metadata pulled from the file.

The Gapless Player loads all of the files at the beginning and stitches them together to create one cohesive tracks with zero delay or buffering time between tracks so you can listen to the entire top to bottom without any breaks.

Since all the audio files have to be buffered initially, this makes for a slower initial load in time, but then you can switch and scrub through tracks without any additional delays.
